Senegal and The Gambia

Senegal and The Gambia are not the most common travel destinations in Africa and – in terms of wild life and national parks – cannot compete with East and Southern Africa. But if you like to travel off the beaten path and birds, then those countries are definitely worth a trip. I’m not a birder, but like wildlife in general and the challenge to get a good picture of a small and shy bird. Unfortunately, I was not able to catch pictures of all beautiful birds we saw, e.g. the bee-eaters and sunbirds.
