Greece

Looking at the Europe weather map, I should have stayed over Easter in Switzerland, not flying to Greece. But it was totally worth it, even if it would have been warmer back home. After some quite decent diving just South of Athens in the 16C “warm” Mediterranean Sea I drove all the 350km North to Meteora. No one really follows speed limits, even Google maps calculates with higher speed than officially allowed. It’s not uncommon that speed limit is 60 km/h, the slowest cars on road drive around 90 km/h and are constantly overtaken by cars running well above 100 km/h…

Meteora - meaning "lofty", "elevated", and is etymologically related to meteor - offers a beautiful landscape, and amazing architecture of monasteries on top of the rock boulders. Busloads of mainly Asian tourists toured from one monastery to next one, and I tried to avoid those crowds and spent my time hiking around this unique place.
